Yes, this is due to the high levels of potassium found in green leafy vegetables. Most leafy greens like spinach are considered high potassium foods. Kale is considered a low-potassium food, but keep in mind the serving size is considered 1/2 cup.
When you are cooking green leafy vegetables, blanch them, as it helps reduce the potassium content.
